Learning to be self reliant.

For many years I have been trying to define what it is that I am attempting to do with yoga.  I have been trying to find the right words to explain what my vision has been since I stumbled upon it.  I remember going to teacher training in Los Angeles over a decade ago and being blown away by the amount of people that were there.  I thought my god, what an opportunity to reach out to the masses and create change in the world.
As I continued to go through the process throughout the training I began to contemplate on what it all meant to me.  What my responsibility was and what I was willing to do to take part in it all.  So I learned as much as I could, I watched people go through their own process and I began to contemplate more and more on one day having my own place and helping everyone who came through my doors as much as I possibly could.
Fast forward to today and I can honestly say that I am so glad I was willing to contemplate on this dream of mine.  Since the training I have met hundreds of people and have had the opportunity to travel along the way.  I have witnessed individuals lose weight, come off of medication, and I have seen others literally change their lives for the better.  I’ve witnessed people regain their strength, sometimes save their dying relationships and other times I’ve witnessed them get out of abusive relationships.
When I look back at all these experiences and all the people I have been so blessed to have met, I realize that what I have been trying to achieve is to help others become self reliant.  Contemplating on what I wanted to do and how I wanted to go about it helped me make this a reality.
In closing, I’ll leave you with this.  Are you willing to contemplate on your own reality?  Are you willing to do what it takes?  Are you willing to put in the time?  Are you willing to make sacrifice?  You’re the only one that can create your own reality.  Are you willing to be self reliant?
To your health & success,
