Easy stuff?

You know, when I first came to America I spoke no English what's so ever.  And during that time, classrooms were conducted under a phylosophy/program called "sink or swim."  Either you learned english in english or you were left behind.  Lucky for me, my teacher's assistant (Mrs. Campos) didn't agree.  So for an entire year, she kept me after school for a few hours to teach me the entire curriculum in Spanish.  She taught me English in my own language and she taught me the way she knew I would understand.  She taught me how to pronounce "sh" sounds, "ch" sounds, "th" sounds, etc.......  She called them "shua sounds."  She explained that if I learned these sounds, english would come easier for me and all I had to do was practice, practice, practice.  Easy stuff, I thought!

Today, I teach yoga in that exact same manner.  I teach fitness with that same phylosophy.  I teach it the way people can understand it.  As someone who already practices or someone who is thinking about it, you understand the risks involved with diabetes, obesity, depression, over medicated, and feeling slugish.  You understand that it takes consistency on your part to make changes happen.  You understand that you may have to endure some discomfort.  You understand that with practice and commitment you can't fail.  When it comes to the poses themselves, you understand push ups and lunges.  And most of all when it comes to your body, noone knows it better than you.

In other words, I can teach technique and form.  I can keep you motivated and I will educate on yoga in a way you can understand it.  All you need to do is show up and just like my teacher Mrs. Campos said, all you need to do is practice, practice, practice.  Easy stuff my friend.  See you soon.
To your health & success,
Marco Gamez
